Mixed Red case

Mixed red case of the weekMy mate Doggy Cafarella is a unique cat.

He's called Doggy because he ages in dog years - he is about 48 but looks 120...kind of like David Bowie in that surreal movie The Hunger with Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon...which was dull for the most part but suddenly took a very crazy turn involving spilled wine and white tee shirts from memory...awkward!

He likes his cricket, he LOVES his Saints and he makes his living as a plumber - a very fine plumber, no question...but its always problematic when a friend is also your main go-to guy when the pipes start gurgling, things stop flowing as they should and the recrimination and finger pointing begin amongst family members.

In short, Doggy has had to do things for my family and me that no man should have been asked to do...he has been splashed, cut, he's been on my roof and he has dropped his mobile down a pipe that disposes of things I never knew existed.

That's why my inaugural mixed red case is for him...he is partial to a quality Cabernet from Margaret River and was keen to get some Cullens Cabernet Merlot...so there's three bottles of that...and I have grabbed some Airlie Bank Shiraz Viognier from the Yarra, Lubianas Primavera Pinot Noir from Tasmania and the Wallace Shiraz Grenache from Glaetzer - my personal favourite value wine of 2010. So there you have it...about $300 value...for $270. Hope he is as happy with the dozen as I have been with the subterranean service the great man has delivered!
